Bell Endorsed by Law Enforcement Leaders
Earlier today, Sumter native, a seasoned trial attorney and local lawyer, Lester “Gill” Bell Jr. formally announced his candidacy for Third Circuit Solicitor. Bell states he is proud to begin his campaign with the full support of Sumter County Sheriff, Anthony Dennis; Clarendon County Sheriff, Tim Baxley; and Lee County Sheriff, Daniel Simon.
“The Solicitor and the Sheriff must work in lockstep to secure our communities,” said Bell. “I am honored to have the trust of these outstanding law enforcement leaders. When our law enforcement officers put in the hard work to protect our community, they deserve a prosecutor who will stand with them and make sure there’s real accountability in the courtroom.”

01
As your Solicitor, I promise transparency regarding how we handle cases and the statistics behind not just our successes, but also our failures. That accountability will ensure we are constantly striving to be better.
02
I want to serve my community just as my grandparents, parents, my in-laws and my wife have - prioritizing the safety of my neighbors in the Third Circuit. I want to be a Solicitor that will make our community proud.
03
I was raised that complacency is the enemy. We must always strive to better ourselves and our loved ones. I hope to apply that same philosophy to our Circuit as your Solicitor.
